Riviera Beach police arrested a teen Thursday after they say she chased her ex-boyfriend with a knife and then stabbed a woman for dating him.
Moenay Thomas, 19, went to the woman’s home east of Australian Avenue, and started to knock “very loudly on the door,” the police report said. When the woman refused to answer, Thomas tried to break into a window with a baseball bat.
The woman finally exited the house and began a verbal argument with Thomas. When the woman started to walk back inside the house Thomas’s ex-boyfriend and father of her child started to argue with Thomas.
Thomas then pulled out a long knife and chased the ex-boyfriend down the street, police said. The woman followed and tried to help him, not knowing that Thomas had a knife. Thomas then stabbed the woman in the chest and ran away/
Police located Thomas at her home where she was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Thomas claimed that she is four months pregnant with the ex-boyfriend’s child and was “feeling pain in her lower stomach,” the arrest report said.
She was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach for medical treatment and then taken Palm Beach County Jail. She was being held Friday on $5,500 bail.
