A West Palm Beach man accused of stealing items from his sister and pawning them to buy crack cocaine has been arrested, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Kevin Flynn’s sister told deputies that she discovered numerous pawn transaction receipts at a home she shares with her mother on Amaryllis Lane. The receipts showed that Flynn pawned jewelry, an A/C window unit, a CD recorder, and a lap top, the arrest report states.
When the sister noticed the items, which belonged to her, were missing she confronted Flynn, who said he pawned the items for cash at two pawn shops on South Military Trail, according to the report. He then admitted that he “needed money” to buy crack cocaine, the report said. The items he pawned valued a total of $2,850, police said.
Deputies arrested Flynn on charges of false ownership of property and dealing in stolen property. He is being held at Palm Beach County Jail on a $17,500 bond.
