A man in Boynton Beach threatened his family members with a gun on Tuesday night after his brother asked him to turn the music down in his room.
Boynton Beach Police responded to a home located at a neighborhood near Woolbright Road east of I-95 at around 11:30 p.m. when the brother of Jimmy Horace, 21, told officers he pointed a gun at their mother and father saying, “If God don’t kill you all, I’m going to kill you myself.”
Horace’s brother said he then got down to his knees and started cursing, put the gun back in his pocket and walked back into his bedroom.
Another brother of Horace’s told officers that earlier in the night he went into Horace’s room and asked him to turn his music down because he was trying to finish homework. Horace then allegedly took the same gun and pointed it at his brother’s face, the police report states. The brother then ran out of the room scared and did not tell anyone else in the house about the incident.
Officers arrested Horace on four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and said he seemed to be under the influence of a narcotic because “his eyes were dilated, he was sweating profusely, and stated he was seeing people that were not present,” the report states.
