A Wellington man’s $8,000 dental work got ruined after someone came to his house and punched him in the face.
Around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home located on 1385 Chappard Court about an assault. A resident told deputies that a man, later identified as Jeff Nixon, 41, came to his house and attacked him.
According to the police report, the resident allegedly told Nixon a week earlier not to contact him for an undisclosed reason but showed up at his doorstep Tuesday to tell the resident he crashed his truck.
He then yelled at Nixon to get away from his house, but Nixon walked inside, punched the resident in the face twice, and then fled the scene. Police said the victim’s new dental work was smashed out, and he ended up swallowing part of his tooth.
The victim later identified Nixon to police in a photo line-up and Nixon was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.
