A school district police officer was called by an administrator after receiving information that Emilcar was carrying an “electric weapon.”

Emilcar initially denied she was in possession of such a device, but later admitted she was carrying the stun gun in her bag, the report said.

The report states that Emilcar possessed a “Red Scorpion” stun gun with unknown voltage.

Emilcar did not respond to an officer when asked why she brought the weapon to school.

In Florida, most adults may possess — openly or concealed — a nonlethal stun gun for self-defense without obtaining a permit. Convicted felons are excluded from possessing weapons, including stun guns.
