A Boca Raton man is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail after he was arrested a second time in two months for allegedly violating a restraining order, according to an arrest report.
Bret E. Talley is facing charges of aggravating stalking, obstructing justice, violation of pre-trial release for domestic violence and contempt of court for violating an injunction.
A restraining order was originally issued against Talley April 28 by the female victim, who is not identified in the report. Talley was arrested for allegedly violating the order on June 16.
A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s detective met with the victim Monday and was shown copies of 13 messages intended to harass and frighten the woman, the report said.
In the texts, Talley tells the woman not to show up in court.
“Don’t show up to court either,” the text says. “You already ruined my life enough. if you show up I’ll post ur pictures.”
Another text tells the woman: “Don’t arrest me for texting…”
When Talley realizes his texts are not being blocked, he writes: “This is awesome I can text you all day…”
