A man was arrested Sunday night after damaging multiple tombstones and wood crosses at Pinecrest Cemetery in Lake Worth, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
So, why’d he do it? The “devil and demons told him to,” according to the arrest report.
Andy Permy, 22, has been charged with 19 counts of disturbing contents of a grave or tomb. He was found by a deputy in an alleyway across the street from the cemetery.
He threw some broken crosses and flowers out on the street, that caused a traffic jam on south A Street, police say. The estimated cost of these items is over $100.
Permy is being held at the main detention center on Gun Club Road, but a judge allowed him to be released under supervision.
