A 17-year-old  is being charged as an adult for his alleged role in a string of vehicle burglaries in a Jupiter neighborhood.

Police say that Junior Azurin and a 16-year-old boy broke into several cars in the Paseos neighborhood, south of Indiantown Road and west of Military Trail.  Both teens were arrested Wednesday after they allegedly tried to flee from police in a stolen vehicle.

Police say the younger teen broke into cars Wednesday. Azurin reportedly told officers he had no knowledge of the crimes and thought the other boy had gone to see a girl.  He made other statements that were not credible, police said.

A patrol car’s dashboard camera reportedly shows the car chase ending with Azurin getting out of the stolen vehicle and running away before stopping. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail Wednesday and was being held Friday night in lieu of $30,000 bail.
