A 20-year-old woman is the third person arrested in connection to a robbery attempt and fatal shooting at a mobile home park in Fort Pierce last week.
Logan Nicole Fulford was detained late Monday and faces charges of second-degree murder, robbery with a deadly weapon and giving false information to law enforcement.
She’s being held without bond at the St. Lucie County Jail.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office says Fulford drove three men, one of whom was killed while trying to rob another man, to the mobile home park where the robbery attempt and shooting took place on March 1.
Kerry Billy Philyaw, 32, and Phillip L. Gray, 29, were arrested Monday on similar charges. Chase Harrington Orvis, 27, of Loxahatchee, was shot and killed during the robbery attempt.
The three men tried robbing Kyle Davis, 21, at the Cypress Bay Mobile Home Park, the sheriff’s office said.
Detectives say that Davis and two other men were attacked and beaten before Davis fatally shot Orvis and wounded Gray. Philyaw fled as shots were fired.
Fulford also tried to drive Gray to the hospital after he was wounded in the shooting, the sheriff’s office said.
Sheriff Ken Mascara said last week that it was believed that Davis acted in self-defense and no charges were filed against him.
