Two suburban Lake Worth sisters were arrested Saturday night after they allegedly used a tennis racket and broken bottle to attack their brother’s pregnant ex-girlfriend.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Dayana Isoph, 19, and Eureka Isoph, 18, on charges of aggravated battery on a pregnant person. Both women were released under supervision from the Palm Beach County Jail Sunday after posting $3,000 bail.
A 24-year-old woman told deputies she had gone to a home on Keely Drive that night to drop off a cellphone belonging to her ex-boyfriend. Without opening the door, the sisters yelled that their brother was not home, according to an arrest report made public Monday.
The accuser later told deputies she walked to a nearby park and sat on a bench while calling her sister in New York. She alleged that Dayana and Eureka approached her a few minutes later and made threatening statements.
Eureka Isoph carried a tennis racket while Dayana picked up a glass bottle, broke it and wielded it as a weapon, according to the report. The sisters allegedly attacked, hitting the woman with the tennis racket and cutting her head with the broken bottle.
The woman was able to fight back and escape, returning to her home where her mother called 911, deputies said.
