Jupiter police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank on Indiantown Road on Wednesday.
A well-dressed man entered the Wells Fargo bank at 6735 W. Indiantown Road at about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday and approached a teller, police said. The man reportedly implied that he was armed and demanded cash. He fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man was dressed in a white shirt with a tie, dress pants and a gray cap, police said. He also had on what appeared to be black, dark-framed glasses.
The man is described as being approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and having a thin beard and goatee. He appears to be in his 30s and weighs about 200 pounds.
Police say the suspect may have been involved in other recent bank robberies in Boca Raton and Miami Lakes. The sheriff’s office reported that a similarly dressed man robbed a Sun Trust bank last month in suburban Boca Raton.
Anyone with information on Wednesday’s incident is asked to call the Jupiter Police Department at 561-746-6201, or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 800-458-TIPS (8477). Tips can be submitted anonymously and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
