A Riviera Beach man is accused of slashing an alleged prostitute’s wrist with a piece of glass during an argument about who would get the biggest piece of crack cocaine, an arrest report states.
When police arrived at a Riviera Beach home late Saturday, they found a woman with cuts in her arm so deep her tendons were torn, Riviera police officers say.
A friend who witnessed the incident was covered in the woman’s blood and shouted, “Roscoe did it,” the arrest report states.
Roscoe E. McPhee, 45, forced himself into the woman’s apartment and snatched $19 out of her hand, police say. She tried to fight him off and smashed a glass plate on his head, the report states.
McPhee picked up a piece of glass and cut the woman’s arm open during the scuffle, police say. The woman, who police say is a drug user and prostitute, told police McPhee cut her just before she was taken to the hospital.
McPhee denied ever cutting the woman. McPhee told police they all pooled their money to buy crack cocaine. Then the three of them argued over who would get the “biggest piece of crack,” and the argument turned violent, the report says.
McPhee claimed he left after the woman smashed the plate on his head.
McPhee remains in the Palm Beach County Jail awaiting $15,000 bail. He was charged with aggravated battery, robbery by sudden snatching and burglary.
