ORIGINAL STORY: Two men are wanted in connection with an attempted burglary in North Palm Beach on Sunday, village police said.
Police say Sofyan Mohamed Attia, 22, and Cody Lane Chapman, 21, attempted to kick in the front door of a man’s apartment while armed with a knife and baseball bat. The alleged incident happened at an apartment on Sanctuary Cove Drive, south of PGA Boulevard and east of Prosperity Farms Road.
Attia’s last known address was in Jupiter while Chapman’s last known residence was in Lake Park, police said. The accuser told police he knows both men.
When Attia and Chapman failed to gain access to the apartment, they proceeded to the accuser’s vehicle and began hitting it with baseball bats, police said. The men reportedly then entered the vehicle and removed several items of value before fleeing on foot.
